It seems ubuntu have let a broken xserver-xorg-core package go through to their repositories. I upgraded this morning and after restarting my machine X wouldn't start because It couldn't find my nvidia graphics card?!?! It's a good job I used to run Debian propper :) I downgraded to an older version which was in the release repositories. xorg-xserver-core 1:1.0.2.0ubuntu10.3 is broken!
To downgrade run this at the console: $ sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-core=1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10 Then wait until a newer release hits the security repository before you try the upgrade again! Last update : 04-09-2006 10:47
